The outer is constructed with ‘Cotec’ – a collaboration between Merlin and Halley Stevensons, that has birthed an 8oz tech waxed cotton that is lighter, stronger, and has better temperature control than your standard waxed cotton. Combined with mesh panelling for airflow, you’re looking at a serious summer riding jacket. But that’s only half the story – a removable Reissa Active waterproof and breathable Membrane attached to a removable 125g thermal lining is going to keep the elements at bay, ensuring you are dry and warm when you need to be. Has the weather cleared up halfway through your ride – just pop out the liner, and you’ve got a summer riding garment again. Basically two for the price of one.

With utility pockets on the front and rear for functionality and style, and a full set of D3O Level 1 armour (shoulders, elbows, and back) included, the Chigwell Utility covers pretty much all bases you could think of, and will serve you year round, from the peak of summer to the depths of winter.
