The outer is crafted from a Merlin-exclusive, extremely abrasion-resistant 12oz Cordura® cotton that has received a DWR water repellent treatment, meaning lighter rain will simply roll off. Adaptable weather protection is present thanks to a 3-in-1 interchangeable Texland Reissa® active waterproof and 100g synthetic layering system, so you are guaranteed to keep you warm and dry in the worst conditions, and able to adapt to when the rain stops and the temperature rises. The jacket comes pre-fitted with a full set of Level 1 D3O® armour – that’s impact protection at your shoulders, elbows, back, and chest, more than you will find on most comparable jackets.

The Mahala features large mesh panels for improved breathability at the front for optimum temperature control, necessary on any full-fat adventure. The sculpted front hem is ergonomically designed for comfort in a range of riding positions, and adjustable tabs throughout the jacket mean it’s easy to achieve that perfect fit. There’s also plenty of room for all your travel essentials in the abundant storage pockets, and a dual-length trouser connecting zipper provides next to universal compatibility.
