The Connectic 4 has a minimalist appearance dominated by Racer’s Softshell material which has been set off nicely with leather accordion stretch panels at the knuckle and fingers. Other core practical features include an elasticated velcro wrist adjustment strap which means you can tailor the glove for the perfect fit and an elasticated toggle which seals off the cuff when worn over the sleeve.

A key point of difference from its siblings is the fact that the top region is free from armour. This means Racer are able to mount the control panel higher up above the wrist, therefore avoiding it being obscured by your sleeve if you are someone who prefers to ride with their gloves tucked in. This is ideal for more urban-focused riders who want to adjust the heat level throughout their journey at will easily.

Activated by a button above the wrist, this model features Racer’s thermo-regulated heating element which runs across the back of the hand all the way across the fingers to your fingertips. 3 heat intensity levels are available, all indicated by the trio of red lights on the control panel with an additional boost mode on tap when you need to crank it to 11. Dual batteries are stored in the cuff and can be monitored with individual status lights, this approach doubles the battery life compared to previous single battery models keeping your hands toasty for hours.

While the heating system works its magic the Connectic 4 also utilises Fiberfill insulation to retain the heat and a Polymax waterproof membrane to shield against outer moisture.
